Veracruz (2003)

We will spend two days photographing in this astonishing area near Catemaco before heading back through Veracruz city on to our way toward our base at Mineral de Pozos. Along the way, we will stop for a night in the central historical district of Puebla, perhaps the most beautiful city in Mexico. There we can visit the beautiful zocalo, try the famous traditional cuisine of Puebla, and get a night’s rest before completing the drive to Pozos, where we will spend the last six days of our workshop. Lodging for the group in Pozos will be in the first-class hotel Casa Montana. Our new darkrooms and studio there will offer the opportunity for workshop participants to have instruction in black and white or color processing and printing. Each participant may choose to process and print their film, they may use all or part of their time photographing the landscape around Pozos, or they may choose to travel to nearby Queretaro or San Miguel de Allende for photography, sight-seeing, or shopping. Photography and art students are welcomed into this travel workshop at any level of skill, from beginners to advanced.
(For more about Pozos, see the description of Workshop #1.)
